  1. I’m designing my house and was wondering where the propane comes in, does that have to be under a gable end? My best location would be under the down side of a shed roof, but I have heard utilities can not be under that because of snow fall off.

    • Hi Kenny, I do not know where you are planning to build, first I would say you need to check with your local Building and Zoning Office to check codes for your area. As a propane company we would STRONGLY recommend it to be under a gable if you are in an area that has snow. Snow coming off the roof or piled up on the side of the house can cause damage to the pipes and/or the second stage regulator which can cause a gas leak and even an explosion of the house, which we have seen happen. Some areas will allow a metal box be placed over the pipes and regulator for protection from snow if on the shed side. Again I would advise talking with your local Building and Zoning Office first.

    • Hi Terry, Bailey Propane has 500 and 1000 gallon underground tanks available for purchase. Please feel free to call the office at 303-838-5411 or email
[email protected] for current pricing and availability.
Thank you for your inquiry and I hope we can be of service to you.

  2. Chris and Logan were the technicians that installed our propane tank and needed to come back to connect our back up generator once it was installed. Well, not only did the solar people install the generator too close to our tank, another contractor unplugged our line for some excavation and just dropped the end of the hose into the dirt with no protection. So, when Chris and Logan came back out to connect the generator, they not only moved our tank to a safe distance but installed new hose for the connection. These guys went above and beyond to service our propane needs and I can't give them enough stars to their credit.
Also to be included in the 5 star distribution, Dwayne's customer service has been absolutely outstanding.
Needless to say, I am extremely happy with Bailey Propane.

    • Thank you Don. I am happy to hear that you were taken care of by Chris, Logan and Dwayne.
We value you as a customer and appreciate your business.

  3. I don’t think I’ve dealt with a more professional and friendly group ever. Had a propane leak potentially and I reached out to them. Needed a plumber and was having some trouble finding one. Duane reached out on his own to send his guys right out. Please don’t hesitate to use Bailey Propane. Great company !!!!

    • Thank you Pat, we appreciate you as a customer and we are glad to hear that Duane took care of you. We feel we have great employees!

  4. Thanks for publicising all the Q & As above. Do you service the Indian Mountain development? Is it possible to get an underground 1000 tank – this is for several renal units to share (understand we would have to buy the tank rather than rent). Thanks!

    • Hi Laura, We do service the Indian Mountain Subdivision. We do carry 1000 gal underground tanks. It would be best to call the office 303-838-5411 and confirm we have one available at this time. You can talk to Brian in service if you decide to schedule an install.Have a great day and please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

      • Hi we are in Washington on family matters my niece stopped by and said we are at 20 percent can we possible be put on the list for a fill up at 30 red coachman lane so pipes won't freeze. Thank you so much

  6. Greetings,
We live back in Harris Park and currently use another provider. Whenever the tank gets below 50% we begin smelling that funky scent added to the propane. Is this common? We are considering switching from our provider because we are not really happy.

    • Chris, I am sorry that you are not happy with your provider. Is your tank an old tank? Have you had a leak test done? Where are you smelling propane at, inside or out? I would reach out to your provider and talk to the service department. We would be happy to service you if you are still unhappy. Do you have a rental tank or is it customer owned? If a rental it would require a swap out of the tank. Please feel free to call our office at 303-838-5411. Have a good day!

  7. We recently purchased near Cripple Creek, do you service that area

      • I'm near cripple creek and also interested in service. How many people do I need to get on board to get service in this area

  8. I had arrived at our cabin and we were out of propane. It was a very cold night as everything runs off gas including the fireplace. I called Bailey propane the following morning at 8 am and they were there to fill the tank at 10:30 am. Scott also came in and lite all the pilot lights and made sure everything was working. Scott was so awesome and pleasant and definitely made a stressful situation so much better. Kudos to Bailey Propane for being dependable and having great employees. Thank you! Joyce Warot

    • So glad we were able to get there and take care of you that morning. We are glad to hear that Scott took good care of you. We truly appreciate your business.

  9. Hi Jim and Melanie, Bailey Propane can extend your gas line to the bottom of your driveway, if you would like an estimate you can call our office and talk to Roland. Yes the yearly rental on a 500 gallon tank is currently $72. We also have 320 gallon tanks available currently at $48 a year. Propane on December 2nd, 2020 was $1.47 a gallon. Bailey Propane does not have any other fees such as hazmat or fuel recovery fees, it is only the cost of the propane. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Have a great day!

  10. Hello,

We live in Shawnee and plan to put in a propane burning fireplace instead of the current wood burning fireplace. However, we don’t currently have any propane lines or a tank. What size tank would you advise if it would only be running a single fireplace in the colder months? What would it cost for the tank and to run one line to our fireplace? Thanks for your response and feedback. It’s greatly appreciated.

    Rachel

    • Hi Rachel,
Since this is for a seasonal fireplace use only with minimal use, Bailey Propane wouldn't be able to rent a tank to you, but we are happy to sell one to you. The best way to give you an accurate estimate would be for you to call our office at 303-838-5411 and talk to either Roland or Mike.
      Have great day.

  11. Good Morning,
I would like to purchase propane from you all and possibly get locked into a price for the year what do I need to do to make this happen?

    Thanks

    • Hi Billy,
Bailey Propane does not offer lock in prices, we have found that in the past when we use to offer this program it cost the customers more money than if they had just paid market price. If you would like to set up an account with Bailey Propane, you can submit an application at https://baileypropane.com/customer-info/ or feel free to call our office at 303-838-5411 for a current market price. We look forward to providing Propane service to you.
      Thank you.
      Have a great day.

  12. We have a Bailey propane tank at our cabin but it is at the end of our driveway. We would prefer to have the tank closer to the county road so the tank truck could more easily fill it. Would it be possible for Bailey Propane to move our tank to a better location? Is this something you do?

    Thanks,

    • Hi Brad, yes, Bailey Propane can move the tank closer to the road. It would be best for you to call the office and talk to Roland. He can give you a cost estimate and set you up on the schedule if you want to get it done.
      Have a great day,
      Jaime

  13. I have several old propane tanks that I would like to get rid of. Do you take them or do you know were I can get rid of them. I live in the Bailey area.

    • Hi Beverly, Bailey Propane does not take old tanks. You can check with scrap metal places and see if they will take them. Good luck.

  14. How much typically is it to install propane to new construction?
Materials and labor to run lines from tank to new construction?

    • Hi Cristy –
There are many variables Bailey Propane must consider when designing a new Propane installation. Some variables include the size of tank needed, distance from the house, and type of fill plan with Bailey Propane. We would be happy to discuss your project and help you arrive at a cost estimate based on your specific needs. Please contact Roland at Bailey Propane's office at (303)-838-5411 or request an appointment by emailing [email protected]. Bailey Propane looks forward to working with your Cristy!

  15. Hello,
I am wondering if your company is able to install a gas line for a range. I’d like to upgrade from electric to gas and I’m not really sure where to start.
    Thank you for your time.
    Ashley

    • Hi Ashley, Bailey Propane does not do any work interior, you can contact a licensed plumber or licensed HVAC specialist and they can take care of that for you. Have a great day and good luck with your project.

  16. We would like to start receiving our statement via email instead of a paper statement.
    Thank you!

    • Carl and Phyllis, I have you switched you over to email statements.
Thank you for being great Bailey Propane customers.

  17. Good Morning,
Husband and I recently purchased property in Como, and we have a few questions hoping you can help out with.
1- Is the service / route weekly, monthly, and do we need to be there during the fill / top off?
2- Do you require a cement slab prior to set up, and if so, do you provide that service as well?
3- What are the different size tanks your Company offers?

    • Good morning Nicole,
      1. Depending on the type of service you chose, if you are a Bailey Propane will call customer you will need to watch your tank and call in when you want gas, the minimum delivery on will call is 150 gallons or a fill. We ask that you call before you drop below 20%,especially in the winter.
If you are on the check and fill program we typically get you once a month, you are put on a regular route. We have some people that have high usage that might require deliveries twice a month, and others that may get deliveries every other month.
You do not need to be there for deliveries.
      2. Bailey Propane sets the tank on cement blocks but if you want a cement slab you can do that.
      3. Are you looking to rent or buy a tank? Rentals are typically 320 gallon tanks; Bailey Propane will rent 500 gallon tanks if your usage warrants it. If you are purchasing a tank we sell 320, 500 and 1000 gallon tanks.

Hope this information helps. If you need further information please feel free to email us at [email protected] or call our office at 303-838-5411

  18. What's the smallest tank you rent and service in fairplay, 100 gallons?

    • 125 gallon is the smallest. What are you going to use the tank for? Please feel free to call Bailey Propane's office and talk to Roland, he can answer any questions you may have.
      303-838-5411

  19. Thank you for being so transparent about your prices.
Could you give a rough estimate for a 500 gallon tank, rented vs. purchase?
Also what charges for moderate usage? Top off service? Thanks

    • Hi Brannon,
Purchase price of a 500 gallon above ground is currently $2080 plus tax, regulator, gas line etc would be additional if that is not already there. Rental cost of a 500 gallon tank is currently $72 a year. If you have minimal usage and the property is accessible in the winter Bailey Propane would recommend a 320 gallon tank versus the 500 for rental. Bailey Propane offers a check and fill program where we put you on a regular route and we will top off your tank monthly as needed, there is no charge for this program.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I am happy to assist you or you can call our office at 303-838-5411.
      Have a great day!

    • Bailey Propane's current price to refill a 20lb tank is $17.00 plus .66 tax although the price of Propane fluctuates, so please contact us for current pricing. Thank you!

  20. Do you sell 1000 gallon propane tanks, if so what is the price for one?

    • Hi Nicole,
Bailey Propane does sell 1000 gallon tanks. A 1000 gallon above ground is currently $3300 plus tax.
Is this a swap out or new construction? This price is for tank only, parts, gas line, regulators etc are in addition to.
If you have any further questions or would like to schedule a tank set please call Bailey Propane's office at 303-838-5411.

      Have a great day
